TwoDays in Cahul
The main objectives of the TWO DAYS workshop in Cahul:
-To consult the key stakeholders (including teachers and students of the vocational school) as per topics and issues, recommendations and suggestions for a course on promoting Healthy Life Style/Life planning skills;
-To consult the key community stakeholders as per what issues and topics should be addressed in the course that is going to be elaborated by the project.
During the first day, there were a total of 12 teachers and 13 students who took part in the workshop. The activity started at 13:30, and lasted up until 17:00. During the second day there were a total 12 participants, and later the school administration and some of the teachers joined the workshop.
The workshop started at 9:00 and lasted until 12:00.
The Workshop has been professionally organized by the school director and school administration. Both the teachers and the students are interested and motivated to be part of this project. Everyone acknowledged the need for a course that would focus on Education for Health initiative. This is due to an increasing number of issues related to health, nutrition, behavior, etc. amongst adolescents, including of the vocational school. On the other hand, Cahul has been distinguished from all the other communities picked for the purpose of piloting this project, through a big number of projects and activities organized by local NGOs in collaboration with national experts in the field of HIV/AIDS, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Family Planning, etc. These stakeholders can assist the vocational school teachers in the piloting phase of the project and not only.
