Meeting of the project team members both from Germany and Moldova in Chisinau to discuss the project’s working plan, approaches, instruments for implementation, methodological aspects, others.

A One Day meeting organized with the project team and representatives of the GTZ Kiev and Chisinau. Minutes of the meeting are available;
August 12 – September 8, 2009
Assessment and study of the structures (Governmental and non-governmental) already dealing with HIV/AIDS prevention/treatment in general and in vocational training setting. This has been completed, and the results will be included in the Inception Phase report;
August – September 2009
Desk review of good practices in HIV prevention/sex education school curricular in Central and Eastern Europe (as well as the curricula developed in the context of the project components in Ukraine and Belarus). This work is still in progress, and is done by the international experts;

Working workshop between the project team experts (SPI Germany and CMB Training Center, Moldova) on sharing the training methodology and approaches that work in addressing the issues related to HIV/AIDS, etc.

Meeting with the Vice-Minister of Education and Youth, Mrs Galina Bulat to introduce the project team members/experts, approaches, raise some questions, issues of relevance to the start of the project;
September 11-12, 2009
Working meeting of the project team members (Germany and Moldova) in preparations for the Kick-off Workshop;
September 14-15, 2009
Kick-off workshop organized with key stakeholders in the project: project team (Germany and Moldova), GTZ (Kiev and Chisinau), Ministry of Education and Youth working group members, Vocational Schools representatives, project experts. Minutes of the Kick-off workshop are available. Detailed report on the workshop will be included in the Inception Phase Report.
September 16 – 23, 2009
- Adapting/reviewing the Working Plan as per recommendations of the Kick-off workshop.
- Creating mailing list for the purpose of communication amongst project team and vocational schools.
- Clarifying the equipment lists (for the vocational schools and the project team).
- Analyzing the curriculum models focused on Healthy Life Style (desk work Moldova and Germany).
- In process of elaboration of standards and instruments for the curriculum.
- Assisting the Communication Consultant of National Coordination Council on TB/AIDS in writing a press-release on the official launch of the project in Moldova.
- Others.
