ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TRAINER - «CMB» Training Center, Chisinau, Moldova

POSITION AVAILABLE:
«CMB» Training Center has an ON-GOING ESL Trainer position under the English Language Training Department. The standard training/teaching week (full time) shall consist of thirty (30) hours of training/teaching time, plus ten (10) hours devoted to curriculum development, preparation and student evaluation, testing of new students and weekly reports. The standard training/teaching week (part time) shall consist of thirty (15) hours of training/teaching time, plus five (5) hours devoted to curriculum development, preparation and student evaluation, testing of new students and weekly reports.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
The primary duties of the ESL Trainer will be to teach ESL to adults (Non-Native Speakers of English) as well as other content-specific ESL courses and training programs. Teaching/training assignments will most likely include morning and/or evening classes at the «CMB» Training Center, as well as intensive training programs when required. The successful candidate will also assist the English Language Training Program Director with program and curriculum development, assessment, program evaluation. This person will also participate in community outreach including the recruitment and advisement of students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1)Excellent command of English (both verbal and written); 2)Keen interest in ESL Language Teaching/Training;

ADVANTAGES: 3)Moldova University Degree (or PostGraduate Degree) in Foreign Languages: English Philology/Linguistics ( including applied linguistics, English, composition, bilingual/bicultural studies, reading, speech); 4)Foreign Certificates/Diplomas on ESL Teaching from Accredited Institutions; 5)Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, political and ethnic backgrounds issues.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: One or more years of teaching/training in English as a Second Language to adults; Evidence of a strong commitment to teach and to remain current in the field of second language acquisition, including alternate/innovative methods of delivery; Commitment to continued professional development and participation in professional organizations including ESL and Developmental Education; Experience that would indicate ability to assist in program and curriculum development and assessment.

Applicants selected for interview will be contacted by phone. Those not selected for interview will be notified by mail. SALARY POLICY AND FRINGE BENEFITS: Upon initial employment, full-time teachers/trainers are placed on the salary schedule based on education and years of experience. Trainers are encouraged to continue their professional development through additional study qualifying them for advancement on the salary schedule.

EMOTIONAL EFFORT OF THE POSITION: Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships involving appropriate interactions and communications in person, by phone and in writing with a variety of individuals and/or groups of individuals from diverse backgrounds on a regular, on-going basis; ability to work effectively under pressure on a variety of tasks concurrently while meeting established deadlines and changing priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS OF THE POSITION: Primarily works in indoor office, instructional/classroom environments; constant contact with adult students; may lead/conduct outdoor training programs as well (for the intensive ESL Training Programs)

PROGRAMUL DE CONSULTANTA IN DEZVOLTARE ORGANIZATIONALA SI PERSONALA
Sint citeva modalitati de implicare in activitatile Departamentului Consultanta:

1. Internship - in calitate de asistent de trainer - veti avea posibilitatea sa va implicati in programele de consultanta elaborate si implementate la moment de catre centrul nostru. Cu posibilitatea de angajare ulterioara.
2. Participare in cursul de "Abilitati de consultanta" este un program cu o durata de 2-3 luni cu sedinte de 4 ore saptaminale. Cursul este cu plata (dar sint oferite si burse). Absolventii acestui program (dupa sustinerea si realizarea unui proiect de training in cadrul organizatiei noastre sau propriei organizatii) se pot implica in calitate de traineri la CMB.
3. Participare in cursul "Marketing aplicat" - este un program de 9 saptamini cu sedinte saptaminale de 4 ore. Cursul este cu plata (dar sint oferite si burse). Acest curs este destinat expertilor pe anumite domenii si este fortificata capacitatea lor de promovare a propriilor servicii sau produse. Este oferita bursa persoanelor care aleg in calitate de proiect de marketing unul din serviciile sau produsele centrului nostru.
4. Implicare imediata in activitatile de training ale Centrului. In acest caz trebuie sa verificati daca trainingurile organizate de DVS corespund standardelor noastre de training (la moment ele nu sint disponibile pe site, dar le pot expedia pe e-mail). Impreuna cu echipa CMB se proiecteaza , se promoveaza si se realizeaza un proiect de training deschis sau pentru o companie.
